How business can change the world

Berlin. „Ever since I first met Prof. Yunus ten years ago, I am fascinated by his vision, passion and perseverance", says Kerstin Humberg, founder of Yunel, a Berlin-based start-up with the mission to make happiness work for positive social change. In her view, Yunus is a living example of "human potential at its best". Last week, it was time for her to pass on the YY virus and inspire Berlin-based investors and entrepreneurs as well.

Together with Gamal Moukabary, CEO of bonify, and Caroline Schmutte from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Yunel hosted an event with Prof. Yunus and 20 selected investors and entrepreneurs from Berlin to explore the question „How business can change the world". The objective of the personal dialogue with Prof. Yunus was to highlight the enormous impact investors and entrepreneurs are having on consumers and society and discuss different avenues for social impact. According to Moukabary, „It was not only deeply inspiring to have Prof. Yunus with us, but a call to action for all of us as well.“ Key points of the discussion were featured in an article published on Gründerszene right after the event: "Was Friedensnobelpreisträger Muhammad Yunus Berliner Gründern rät".
